Biosketch
Sokny joined the Francis College of Engineering, Dean’s Office, at UMass Lowell in January of 2017. She works alongside the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs to provide administrative support for the Engineering graduate programs, faculty, and graduate students. She maintains collaborative relationships with various campus administrations to further support students’ retention and providing assistance with academic and campus services, as well as, processing student contracts for teaching and research assistantships. Prior to joining the Dean’s Office, she has worked with the Department of Public Health at UMass Lowell as an Administrative Specialist. In the position, she was involved with several departmental committees such as the Alumni Committee and Recruitment Committee to help in developing and carrying out recruitment plans, in addition to Alumni outreach.
