Financial Aid Update

We have started to receive students' Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information from the federal government. Supporting your students is our top priority, and that's why our entire team is working to process financial aid as quickly as possible. We anticipate beginning to send financial aid notifications to admitted students at the end of April to the beginning of May. These dates are estimates and may change as we receive new information from the U.S. Department of Education. Please continue to check The Solution Center website for updates about financial aid.

The UMass Lowell Guarantee

Value matters right now, and value is where UMass Lowell has always stood above the rest. We're not just talking about low tuition rates and high future earning potential. We're talking about our impressive job placement rates, our relationships with major employers, our co-op programs, our network of students support services and all the ways beyond the classroom that we prepare students to lead. That's why every first-time, first-year student will have the opportunity to pursue at least one Career Connected Experience during their undergraduate career, earning pay, credits or both before they graduate.

New Minor: Sports Engineering

Our new sports engineering minor is hitting the sweet spot with students who love sports and also aspire to be engineers. After taking an introductory course, the minor, which is the first integrated undergraduate program in sports engineering in the United States, offers six areas of focus that are based on a student's major, their primary career interest or both.

Tuition Equity

Your students may qualify for in-state tuition rates under the recent Massachusetts Tuition Equity Law. Review the residency criteria to determine if any of your students are eligible. If you believe they are eligible, please encourage them to submit the required affidavit and supporting documents.
