Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of the cost of attending UMass Lowell. It is based on residency status, career level, and whether the student will be living on-campus, off-campus or commuting. The cost of attendance includes both direct and indirect costs.

NOTE: These prices are subject to change by vote of the UMass Board of Trustees.

Additional fees that may apply are based on your status and enrollment. Fee descriptions provide more information on each fee that may be charged.

Health Insurance is mandatory for all graduate students taking 9 or more credits. The cost is estimated at $2,636 for the year.

Students can waive this charge only if they have comparable health insurance coverage. To waive, students log into their SiS account and follow the health insurance link under the finance section.

International Student Fee is $500 per semester.

Advanced Health Assessment Fee is $500 for students taking the Advanced Health Assessment course.

Master of Education Curriculum and Instruction Pre-Practicum Fee is $150 for students taking the Pre-Practicum course.
