Important Health Insurance Information
All Students
State law requires that every UMass Lowell student complete a Health Insurance Coverage Selection Form upon entering the University and each academic year thereafter. The form and more information can be found on the found on the Waive or Enroll in Health Insurance page. Students covered under another health insurance policy (under a parent/guardian, spouse or self) may waive the Health Fee by logging into the Student Information System (SiS).
International Students
UMass Lowell requires that all International Students be enrolled in the University Student Health Insurance Plan. For more information regarding International Student Health Insurance Requirements or Rules for Maintaining Status, visit the International Student & Scholars office.
If you are covered by an embassy-sponsored health insurance plan and provide the Bursar's Office with your financial guarantee prior to the waiver deadline, you will not be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan.
